Photoshop and My Logo

me saw something on the net and me wanted too :D
Sometimes I'm just like a little monkey, copying everything I see.
Well... in fact it is not simply copying, but also learning, processing and making it my own.
So here is my latest "doing" in PS, a "something" I am crazy about for the last few days:

Isn't this just beautiful?!?!? Open a photo in PS and then pick different colors with the eyedropper from that certain photo and wonder at the surprising palette of colors you get. I simply love this!!!

And now for the second part of this post... I've been working for some time on a logo... Here it is, what I've managed to "create"so far

:( can't load it... don't know why... there should be an explanation, but I just don't know...

Amazing sky

I was absent these days from here, first of all because I had lots of work - which I eventually finished and yesterday I was on holiday! [this is what I call a day when I don't do anything but what I like, what relaxes and interests me]

Yesterday I also managed to install on my computer the program which I am used to for editing my photos,  and I feel much better now.
So here I am, back at last with other amazingly beautiful pictures of the sky, as I promised a while ago.

And this is what I saw one afternoon when I went out in my backyard:

I don't want to get mentally old...  I love to learn and try out new things. And I have to constantly DO something, like jewelry, crafts, photography. But there are certain things that I am used to, and which I love, and yes, I am very reluctant about changing them for others. [like my photo editing program :D]

What about you? How do you feel about this? When you are very comfortable with something, do you want to change it for something you don't know how to use? Are you afraid of the new and the unknown? Do you happen to look at your parents, or perhaps grandparents, who can't keep up with progress [like computers, mobile phones and such], and say 'I never want to be like that!!!'?

Thanks for stopping by!

November Sky

I've changed my old computer for a laptop and been working for days now to transfer all my files and install the programs I am used to... not quite succeeded, unfortunately.
But the good news is that I can download my photos from my camera and resize them. Here are only a few which I took last week - from my backyard:
I forgot to mention... I have a new photo editing program - not as good as my old one - but it has some interesting features as you can see!
We had again an amazing sky this afternoon, so I'll be back with more photos like these in a couple of days!

New handcrafted jewelry

Here I am again with some new stuff.
First of all is a necklace made of polymer clay in beautiful colors, on a black adjustable cord.
The tubular bead is approximately 7 cm long. I made a few shorter beads too, as well as oval ones, but have to figure out what to do with them...
Next, these earrings in autumn colors:
And another pair of earrings in autumn colors, with little dangling stained leafs:
And here comes my favorite necklace. This one is much more like me!

I enjoy actually making "beads", not necessarily in the traditional shape. And I love the handmade look, beads that you can tell they were made by hand and not machined. Sometimes you can see even the fingerprints of the crafter immortalized on them. But I just don't mind! They are unique. You can't by a bucket of the same type like these on a Chinese en-gros site [no offense!].

Enjoy and see ya!

Milli as in Milli Vanilli

Today I'm sharing some pics of my cat which I love a lot. She is a dear, sometimes sleepy, sometimes playful. She loves being outside when the weather is fine, hunting for whatever is moving, or just lying in the sun.
Her name is Milli, as in Milli Vanilli [if you are old enough to remember!].
So... what is odd in this photo?
Can you spot Milli in the gutter??? She was sleeping there in the warm autumn sun!
Here she was looking out fiercely
Then she moved over to the roof
Here she is with her whiskers in the sky!
And again, my favorite one:
Have a nice fall!

New handmade necklace

Hi there!
Remember my try at a new kind of bead which I posted a few days ago?
Here is the necklace I made with it. Notice the link that matches (again) the clasp - or vice versa...
Again copper wire and this time genuine leather cord. And the black ring is also polymer clay.
Enjoy!

And a bonus for you (or for me??? as it was fun making this!) - a collage I've made using an online soft I discovered a couple of days ago:

Necklaces with my hand made beads

Hi! I'll be short today.
I only want to share a few pictures. First, pictures of one of the necklaces I told you about in the previous post. Now I can show you the clasp, too. I made it from copper wire and hammered it. See how it matches the pendant? Small red bead all over!

And here is the second necklace. Polymer clay mokume gane - salvaged from my latest disaster... It is interchangeable. This means that you can simply take the pendant off and put another one in its place!

I've got some 4-5 more necklaces. So keep coming back!

Hand Made Beads

After last week's disaster I decided... - among other things (like trying another type of white polymer clay, as well as experimenting with alternative ways of curing i.e. boiling on the stove or in the microwave) - well... I'm considering to only make what I like. Hand made beads that I like, for myself, for me to wear or only to enjoy, and don't care anymore if most of the people don't like them. This would make them more difficult so sell but since I haven't made a fortune out of this business so far, it won't make any difference.
So here we go! A necklace I made some months ago but is not my #1:

This is just a try at a different technique and painting

This one here is one of the last week's salvaged and yet usable bead:

This is waiting to be turned into an earring to match my favorite necklace:

And in the end, let me introduce you to some steampunk:

Hope I haven't scared you away!!!
See you next time.

Music in the Sky

Let me give you some music in the sky!
What do you think we need for it? Well, first of all we certainly need a sky [hi-hi]
And maybe a plane, too.

Or perhaps two...

We need them to draw some lines for us. You know, like those lines we have on a musical sheet, so we can put some notes in the sky. Which will have to fly. So we now need some flying "means" like these:

And let it be music!

Hope you enjoyed the music and the flight.
I've been working on some beads for some time now. I have some ready, only need to bake them. So I'll be back soon.

See ya!
